Veterans Day to be observed

BOWLING GREEN – Two veterans organizations will sponsor a Veterand Day ceremony on Sunday.

The program, sponsored by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, will be held at 11 a.m. on the old courthouse lawn.

Keynote speakers will be Lt. Colonel Peter Dargle, Fort A.P. Hill commander, and Susan Sili of Bowling Green, a historian and freelance writer.

The program will include welcoming reamrks, the presenation of the colors by the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, the national anthem, invocation, musical interlude, and benediction, the laying of wreaths, taps, and closing remarks.

The observance will be sponsored by American Legion Memorial Post 221 and VFW Post 10295.
