Third shooting suspect is now in custody
RUTHER GLEN—Shooting suspect, Kwumane Goodall, 20, of Doswell, was taken into custody Monday afternoon without incident, reported Major Scott Moser of the Caroline Sheriff’s Office.
He was the final suspect out of three men who were wanted in connection with a shooting in Ruther Glen on July 24, and he was being held without bond.
Jujuan Morris, 21, of Ruther Glen and Jessee Rashaud Morris, 22, of Ruther Glen handed themselves over to law enforcement officials on July 26, Caroline County Sheriff Tony Lippa said. Goodall had been at large for nearly six days.
“These individuals are to be considered armed and dangerous,” Lippa said after the shooting. The shooting occurred at a residence on Jocasta Avenue in the Elsinore Subdivision around 10:30 p.m. on July 24 and a 20-year-old woman was shot in the chest. She was listed in stable but critical condition in a hospital, Lippa said.
When deputies arrived at the scene of the shooting, they discovered that gun fire had erupted during a large party at the residence. Investigators found evidence indicating several shots were fired during an exchange between three individuals. The shooting victim was not involved in the gun fight, but instead was shot as she tried to run from the area, Lippa reported.
