Counterfeited or stolen jewelry possibly sold in Caroline County

Caroline County investigators have received information of possible stolen and/or counterfeited jewelry being sold by several individuals at the Mr. Fuel located at the I-95 exit #104 in Carmel Church, reported the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects have been showing the jewelry with a counterfeited S&S Jewelers tag indicating a retail value of over $1,000, but are willing to sell it for just $100. Some of the jewelry recovered was inspected by a professional jeweler who advised that the jewelry was “cheaply” plated copper with fake diamonds and worth approximately $30.

S&S Jewelers located in Melbourne, Florida have confirmed that the jewelry is not from their store and acknowledge reports from multiple jurisdictions that their S&S Jewelers merchandise tag is being counterfeited.

The suspects are described as three black males operating out of a faded green Honda Accord with North Caroline plates.

If anyone has any information as to the identity or whereabouts of these individuals or if you’ve been a victim of their crime, please contact the Caroline Sheriff’s Office immediately by calling the dispatch center at (804) 633-5400 or our anonymous tip line at (804) 633-1133.
