CHS golfer signs to Chowan University

By Scott Richards Gabby Rivera, Caroline High School’s premier golf team member and the recipient of the Caroline Progress Female Student Athlete of the Fall Semester Award, signed a National Letter of Intent with Chowan University on Monday, April 20 at Caroline High School.   • Track team places seventh overall

    At the Woodberry Forest Invitational, Saturday, April 18, the Caroline High School track teams competed against 20 area schools and placed seventh in overall competition. Special recognition for the girl’s team was Alantra Mines, who placed seventh in the long jump. Of special note for the boy’s team were Darius Young, eighth in the 100 meter run and seventh in the high jump; Reggie Twisdale, second in the 400 meters

  • Baseball team adds two wins during break

       By Scott Richards Over spring break the Caroline Diamond Boys found themselves busy going 2-2 in a tournament put on by Riverbend High School.   Play for the Cavaliers began and ended with the Indians of Stafford High School.  On Monday, Caroline beat the Indians with a score of 6-5 in a close game where all scoring stopped after three innings.  Tuesday saw the Cavaliers demolish Massaponax High School 16-4,
