Surging Lady Cavaliers win three straight games

The Caroline varsity girls’ softball team had a trifecta last week, beating Courtland on Tuesday, 7-6, in a thriller that came down to the last inning. Then they defeated James Monroe twice in a doubleheader on Thursday, 11-1 and 9-1. Last week’s wins leave the Lady Cavs with a 5-12 record. CHS 7, Courtland 6 On Tuesday, the Courtland Cougars came to Milford for a knock-down drag-out fight with Caroline.

    The annual Caroline invitational track meet last Friday at Caroline High School had 25 teams participating from as far away as Tabb High School in Yorktown and Chopticon High School in southern Maryland. With over 300 athletes competing, the competition was strong and exciting.
