Vincent R. Miller

Vincent R. Miller, 86, of Bowling Green died Dec. 10, 2012 at his home.

Born in North Carolina, he retired after 42 years with Brooks Lumber Co., then worked for Fredericksburg Auto Auction for 15 years.

A born-again Christian who attended Temple Baptist Church, Mr. Miller was an avid NASCAR and Redskins fan, and he also enjoyed blue grass music and duck pin bowling.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Miller. Survivors include his wife, Maxine P. Miller; two children, Linda Meadows of Fredericksburg and Jerry Miller of Spotsylvania; three stepchildren; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral funeral was scheduled Thursday morning at Storke Funeral Home in Bowling Green with pastor Michael Reid officiating. A graveside service will follow 2 p.m. Friday at Rich Hill Cemetery in Glade Valley, N.C.
