Kathy M. Richards, 60, went to be with the Lord, where her family awaits her, following a long illness of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Ms. Richards, a resident of Caroline County for 22 years, did drywall work and also was employed at The Free Lance-Star.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Patterson; a son, Edgar Lee Adams; three grandsons, Channing Patterson, Levi Patterson, and Justin Adams; two granddaughters, Amber Marcello (Brian) and Megan Wade, both serving in the Navy; three great-grandchildren, Narcy, Oliva, and Seth Marcello; two sisters, Barbara Leonard and Pat Moon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Leonard and George Washington Leonard.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Bowling Green Rehabilitation Center for their great hospitality during Kathy’s stay and the care given at the time of her passing.
