Jeter N. “Buster” Durrett Jr., 65, of Ladysmith died Feb. 10, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Mr. Durrett, who was born in Ladysmith, was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Jean Durrett; his mother, Mildred Durrett; four children, Jeter N. Durrett III, April Lynn McGuire and her husband, Michael, Billy Lee Conley Jr. and his wife, Myra, and Michael Wayne Conley and his wife, Melissa; four sisters, Judy Richardson, Barbara Bylilly, Ellen Thomas, and Polly Durrett; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was scheduled at Storke Funeral Home in Bowling Green 2 p.m. Feb. 13 with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ladysmith Rescue Squad or Fire Dept.
