DESCRIPTION:<p>The 5k race along with a family pet walk and children’s race
  will take place on the last day of the State Fair.  All proceeds from the
  event will benefit the Virginia Foundation for Agriculture in the Classro
 om.  The event will take place rain or shine\, entirely in The Meadow Even
 t Park.  Registered participants will receive a t-shirt\, water stops\, pr
 ofessional timing\, and breakfast.  Registration is free for runners who m
 ake a donation of $75 or more on the site. The registration fee is $25 bef
 ore Sept. 17\, but you may register up to the day of the event.   The chil
