The boys team garnered 135 points to beat out King George, which collected 112, in the Battlefield District Track Meet on Wednesday. Chancellor scored 71 points to round out the top three.
The Caroline girls team finished fifth. The girls meet was captured by King George.
For the boys, DaQuan Pollard and Aason Pankey helped lead the Cavaliers to victory. Pollard won two events, the high jump and 110-meter hurdles. He added a second place in the triple jump and third place in the long jump. Pankey won first place in the 100-meter dash and added fourth in triple jump and sixth in high jump.
The Caroline boys relay teams also won first place in the 4×400, second place in the 4×3,200, and third place in the 4×1,600.
The Cavaliers picked up additional top-three finishes.
Bevontae Morris took second place in high jump and added third in triple-jump and sixth in the 200-meter dash. Michael Williams won second place in the 1,600-meter run and added fourth in the 800-meter run. Christopher Jackson won second place in the 300-meter hurdles and added sixth place in the 110-meter hurdles.
Freddie Romero-Baker won second in pole vault, and Chad Boxley won second place in shot put.
Also, Shareef Gardner took fourth place in the 110-meter hurdles and added fifth in the 300-meter hurdles. Ryan Green finished fifth in shot put, Jacob Knicely took fifth place in the 3,200-meter run, and Gerson Cruz took sixth place in the 400-meter dash.
For the girls, Jessica Toliver picked up a pair of first-place finishes; she won the long jump and the 100-meter hurdles. Toliver added third place in the 100-meter dash.
The other top-three finisher for the girls was Bo Hayes, who won third place in shot put.
Zoe Williams won fifth place in the 100-meter hurdles and added fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles, and Samantha Nason tied for fifth place in the pole vault and added sixth place in shot put.
The Caroline girls placed fifth in the 4×400 relay and sixth in the 4×1,600 relay.
