*St. James Baptist Church, Milford, Women’s Club Ministry is sponsoring a three-day, two-night trip to Lancaster, Pa. from Oct. 30 – Nov. 1. The trip includes breakfast, buffet dinner, tour, admission to “Moses” at the Sight and Sound Theater, shopping, and more. For more information or to reserve a seat, call (804) 633-7132.

*Bowling Green United Methodist Church is holding Wednesday Bible study from noon – 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend and bring a bag lunch to eat.

*Shiloh Baptist Church, 127 S. Main St., Bowling Green has changed its hours for Summer Worship Service. Sunday school now begins at 9 a.m. and regular worship service at 10 a.m. Bible Study is held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and Missionary meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m.

July 14-19

*Calvary Baptist Church is holding a Vacation Building Services week from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Work will end at noon on Saturday. The community is invited to help work on the property at 124 Milford St., Bowling Green. No prior construction experience needed, and required community service hours will be recorded. July 20

*Mt. Salem Baptist Church is having its Homecoming service at noon. Pastor Goode will be preaching, followed by dinner at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Alfred Jones will be the guest preacher for the 3 p.m. service along with the Triangle Baptist Church.

July 20 – 23

*First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Rd, Woodford, is having its 121st Homecoming and Revival beginning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Carl Bentley delivering the message. Rev. Beasley of Shiloh Baptist Church, Richmond, will be the guest speaker for the 3 p.m. service along with the evening services July 21 – July 23 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Music will be provided by various are choirs each night.

July 20, 22-24

*Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 9294 James Madison Parkway, King George, will celebrate Family and Friends’ Day at 3:30 p.m., July 20. The guest preacher will be Bishop Thomas Holmes, Pastor of New Life Pentecostal Church, Ruther Glen. Dinner will be served at 2. Revival services will be July 22-24 beginning at 7:30 nightly with guest preachers: Tuesday—Rev. Bruce Claibourne & One Family Ministry, Ruther Glen;

Wednesday—Bishop Anthony Jones, Pastor of St. Stephens Baptist Church, King George; and Thursday—Rev. Welford McDowney, Pastor of New Monrovia Baptist Church, King George.

July 20 & 27

*Reedy Baptist Church is hosting the Rev. Clayborn Collins, Jr. as the speaker for the 11:30 a.m. worship service.

July 21-23

*Mt. Salem Baptist Church is hosting Revival services beginning at 7 p.m. The guest Revivalist will be Dr. Alfred Jones of the Triangle Baptist Church. All are welcome.

July 21-24

*Christ Lutheran Church, 17470 Center Drive 4B, Ladysmith, is holding Vacation Bible School from 9 – 11 a.m. The theme this year is “It’s All About HIStory” for ages 2 to fifth grade. Snacks will be provided. Call (804) 448-3580 to register.

July 27

*Beth’el Baptist Church, Bowling Green, is celebrating Pastor & Lady Childs’ 13th Pastoral Anniversary. The morning service begins at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 1:15 p.m. and evening service at 3 p.m. Pastor Lorenzo Nicholson, Sr. and the Life Line For Jesus Community Church will be special guests.

August 2

*Jericho Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, is holding a dedication ceremony for the adoption of a portion of Jericho Rd. at 10 a.m. in honor of the late Pastor Glen Leverette Sr. Activities include marching from the church to the signs for a brief service. All are welcome to attend.

August 3

*Jericho Baptist Church is having its Homecoming service at 11 a.m. Guest Evangelist for the 3:30 p.m. service is Pastor Alfred Jones, Jr. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

August 3 – 6

*Zion Grove Baptist Church, 9450 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, will celebrate its 134th Homecoming and Revival Anniversary, Sunday, Aug. 3 through Wednesday, Aug. 6, with a different preacher at each service: Mt. Salem Baptist Church’s Rev. Dr. Bernard P. Goode on Aug. 4, United Freedom Gospel Baptist Church’s Rev. Karl Bray on Aug 5, and Little Mine Road Baptist Church’s Rev. Carson Jackson on Aug 6. Sunday service at 11 a.m. will be delivered by Rev. Dr. Kenneth Grasty and 3 p.m. by Rev Sharon Roberts of St. Thomas Baptist Church.
