*St. James Baptist Church, Milford, Women’s Club Ministry is sponsoring a three-day, two-night trip to Lancaster, Pa. from Oct. 30 – Nov. 1. The trip includes breakfast, buffet dinner, tour, admission to “Moses” at the Sight and Sound Theater, shopping, and more. For more information or to reserve a seat, call (804) 633-7132.

*Bowling Green United Methodist Church is holding Wednesday Bible study from noon – 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend and bring a bag lunch to eat.

*Shiloh Baptist Church, 127 S. Main St., Bowling Green has changed its hours for Summer Worship Service. Sunday school now begins at 9 a.m. and regular worship service at 10 a.m. Bible Study is held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., and Missionary meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m.

*Reedy Baptist Church is hosting Rev. Regina Winston from the Essex Village Community Church as the guest minister for the month of August. Bible study is at 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Sundays, and Sunday School is at 10:30 on the second and fourth Sundays.  Worship services are at 11:30 a.m.

August 2

*Jericho Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, is holding a dedication ceremony for the adoption of a portion of Jericho Rd. at 10 a.m. in honor of the late Pastor Glen Leverette, Sr. Activities include marching from the church to the signs for a brief service. All are welcome to attend.

August 3

*Jericho Baptist Church is having its Homecoming service at 11 a.m. Guest Evangelist for the 3:30 p.m. service is Pastor Alfred Jones, Jr. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

August 3 – 6

*Zion Grove Baptist Church, 9450 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, will celebrate its 134th Homecoming and Revival Anniversary, Sunday, Aug. 3 through Wednesday, Aug. 6, with a different preacher at each service: Mt. Salem Baptist Church’s Rev. Dr. Bernard P. Goode on Aug. 4, United Freedom Gospel Baptist Church’s Rev. Karl Bray on Aug 5, and Little Mine Road Baptist Church’s Rev. Carson Jackson on Aug 6. Sunday service at 11 a.m. will be delivered by Rev. Dr. Kenneth Grasty and 3 p.m. by Rev Sharon Roberts of St. Thomas Baptist Church. Monday through Wednesday, prayer and praise will begin at 7:30 p.m., then preached Word at 8 p.m. For questions, contact Sharon Dickerson at (540) 840-4040.

August 3-7

*Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Partlow, will have its Homecoming and Revival Services starting at 12 p.m. Aug 3. Pastor Fred Sales will deliver the 3 p.m. evening message. Worship services will start 8 p.m. nightly led by Christopher Stevens, Sharon Roberts and Gilbert Garcia respectively each night.

August 5 – 8

*Jericho Baptist Church is hosting Revival services beginning at 7:30 p.m. The guest Evangelist will be the Rev. Micah Jackson from 7th St Memorial Baptist Church, Richmond.

August 6-8

*Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9132 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, is hosting Vacation Bible School from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. There will be lessons, interactive physical activities, worship music and snacks for children and adults. For additional information call (804) 632-6039.

August 10-13

*St. Stephens Baptist Church, Central Point, will celebrate its Homecoming and Revival Service Sunday, August 10 beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Earl H. Newsome delivering the morning message followed by dinner. Rev. Alvin Armstead of First Union Baptist Church, Richmond, will be the guest speaker for the 3 p.m. service along with the evening services August 11-August 13. Prayer services will begin at 7 p.m. and Worship Service at 7:30 p.m. Music will be provided by The Soldiers of Vision on Aug 10, True Deliverance Church of God Our Lord on Aug 11, Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Aug 12, and Jerusalem Baptist Church on Aug 13.

*Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Milford, will celebrate its Homecoming and Revival Services beginning Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Antonio Clinkscales delivering the message followed by dinner at 1:30 p.m. Afternoon worship will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Marvin Fields of Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church delivering the message. The Rev. Micah Jackson of Seventh Street Memorial Baptist Church will bring the Word Aug 11 – Aug 13 with music by Second Baptist Mass Choir, Ebenezer Baptist Praise Team, Jericho Baptist Gospel Chorus on each respective night. Praise and worship will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the message at 8 p.m.

August 10-14

*Mt. Oni Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, is celebrating its Homecoming and Revival Services beginning Aug 10 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Vaughn Cunningham will bring the morning message with a lunch served immediately after. The Rev. Antonio Baker and the Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be the guests for the 3 p.m. evening service. Revival services will take place Aug 12 – Aug 14 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

August 10-15

*Macedonia Baptist Church will celebrate its 139th Homecoming and Revival Service, Sunday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 15, with a different preacher at each service. The Rev. Carroll Jackson will deliver the morning message at 11 a.m. followed by dinner and 3 p.m. revival service led by Rev Kenneth Davis of St. Luke’s Baptist Church. Bethlehem Baptist Church’s Rev. Zackary Williams on Aug. 11, Zion Grove Baptist Church’s Rev. Kenneth Grasty on Aug. 12, First Mt. Zion Baptist Church’s Rev. Otis Kay on Aug. 13, Mt. Hope Baptist Church’s Rev Ernest Woodson on Aug. 14, and First Baptist Church’s Rev. Dr. Carl Bentley on Aug. 15. Devotion will start at 7 p.m. and worship will begin at 7:30 p.m.

August 12-17

*St. James Baptist Church, Milford, is holding its Revival Services Aug. 12 – Aug. 14 beginning at 7:15 p.m. with prayer and praise. The Rev. Dr.  Ricardo L. Brown of Fifth Baptist Church, Richmond, will be the guest revivalist. Homecoming service will be held Aug 17 at 11 a.m. with the Rev Dr. Charles F. Baugham, Sr. delivering the message followed by lunch. The colors are pink, white, and black. There will be no evening services.

August 17-22

*Jerusalem Baptist Church, Sparta, is holding its Homecoming and Revival Services at 11 a.m. Pastor Jared S. Beasley will deliver the message and JBC Combined Choirs will lead the music followed by a served lunch. Prayer and Praise will begin at 2:30 p.m. and evening worship at 3 p.m. led by the Rev. Earl Newsome & the St. Stevens Baptist Church. Revival services will begin Aug 19 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Earl Newsome will lead each service.
