A 20-year-old Ruther Glen man was shot yesterday afternoon. The Caroline Sheriff’s Office received a report of the shooting incident on Braswell Road near Bowling Green at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday. Deputies arrived at the scene of the call at 4:49 pm. and found the victim with gunshot wounds. Caroline Fire and Rescue transported the victim to Mary Washington Hospital with serious injuries. Escapee from Henrico County captured in Port Royal

A fugitive from Henrico County picked the wrong place to hide. The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office safely arrested 43-year-old Kevin Lee Richmond, Sr. of Henrico Monday on charges of escaping custody, abduction, breaking and entering, third offense of domestic assault, and driving with a revoked driver’s license. The charges stemmed from incidents in Henrico County where Kevin Richmond allegedly escaped custody from Henrico County Jail employees. Sheriff Tony Lippa said,
