The Bowling Green Arts Commission is hosting Music on the Green musical events for six consecutive Friday nights from 6:30 to 8:30.
This Friday, July 18, is the first and will feature gospel singer Michelle Johnson.
Pop musicians Dream City University will perform on July 25, followed by blues/traditional jazz group the Robert Flowers Trio on Aug. 1. Velvet Lies will play pop, rock, and country acoustical Aug. 8. Classical musician Amber Bouy is set for Aug. 15, and Jay Johnson & Friends and Natalie Carter will finish up the series Aug. 22.
Music on the Green will be on the Courthouse Lawn on Main Street in Bowling Green. The event is free, and there will be activities and prizes for the kids.
D&J Meat will serve barbeque, hot dogs, and burgers this first Friday. The second and third Fridays will feature meals from Lou’s Comfort Food from south of Bowling Green on Route 301.
