The Caroline County Board of Supervisors announced today that a Taco Bell investment has been secured for Carmel Church, directly across Route 207 from Arby’s.

The franchise owner, BurgerBusters, Inc, confirmed the purchase of the site and has submitted site plans to the County Planning office. If the site plans are approved in June, BurgerBusters Director of Real Estate, Lee Garvin, estimated that the store will open in October of 2014.

The Taco Bell will hire 30 employees. The new hires in Caroline continues a strong trend in employment growth in the County. Ninety distribution center jobs were announced last month following solid job growth in 2013.

BurgerBusters, Inc, headquartered in Virginia Beach, has been in business for 28 years when it started out with one store. The business now owns over 100 franchises, primarily Taco Bells. The Caroline Commerce Center still has property available for commercial and industrial investment.

Garvin has expressed his appreciation for the County’s help and aggressive approach to assisting the project’s successful completion. BurgerBusters is contemplating a ribbon cutting ceremony when they open in October.
