Students, staff, the football team and cheerleaders of Caroline Middle School, CMS principal Angela Wright (front right), as well as WTVR’s Julie Bragg (front left) showed support for CMS Physical Education teacher and coach Aaron Dudley as he appeared on the Steve Harvey Show to jump start his healthy weight loss journey. The show aired on Monday, Jan. 30 and Dudley will appear again on the show sometime in May or June to reveal his transformation.

The theme song from the Steve Harvey Show says, “We can do it together!”

This is the mentality of Caroline native and Caroline Middle School Physical Education teacher and coach Aaron Dudley.

On Monday, Jan. 30, Dudley and his wife, Sharquita Dudley, appeared on the Steve Harvey Show, after his wife mailed a letter to the show voicing her concern for his health.

“My wife had sent in a letter to the show,” Dudley said. “A couple of months later, she came into the house saying, ‘Babe, we got to talk to the producers.’”

Dudley and his wife were supposed to appear on the show back in October, but the appearance was delayed due to the birth of the couple’s fourth child. However, Dudley’s episode could not have come at a better time. The show aired during the time when people are geared to make healthier choices in the new year.

On the show, Sharquita Dudley expressed how she was concerned about her husband’s health due to his father and grandfather passing at an early age and, most importantly, his interaction with their children.

The couple has four children and Sharquita Dudley explained that her husband is not able to interact with the children the way they want and he wants.
