The normal routine for Russell Brown was walking the dog, playing golf and heading to work at the local animal shelter.
All that changed abruptly in June, when he suddenly felt fatigued and ran a low-grade fever for several days. On June 28, he went to his physician's office where he underwent a physical and blood testing.
The next day, in a Richmond-area hospital, was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia.
For 42 days, Brown has been in MCV Hospital in Richmond being treated with two rounds of chemotherapy. Then an even more shocking diagnosis; doctors told Brown and his wife Donna...
