Tony Parker, 42, of Ladysmith died Jan. 12, 2014 at his home.
A dedicated firefighter, he was a life member of Upper Caroline Volunteer Fire Department. Tony excelled at football and played at Caroline High School and at Liberty University. He had worked for years at Kenbridge Construction and most recently he owned and operated Cedon Market and Parker’s Lawn Care.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Parker; two children, Anthony A. Parker and Jessica Franklin; his mother, Edna Mae Parker; his three sisters, Hope, Tina and Penny Parker; his granddaughter, Christina; his niece, Deandra; nephew, Derek; great niece, Jada; his mother and father in law, Leon and Joyce James and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tony was a member of Ashland Church of God and his funeral will be held there Saturday, Jan. 18 at 12 p.m., with Rev. Rick Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bowling Green. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Caroline Volunteer Fire Department.
