It is a small white building that sits on the corner of King and Middle Street, but until recently it was the center of a big contention dating back to 2002. At the July 20 meeting of Port Royal Town Council, Mayor Herb Posner and Historic Port Royal President Bill Henderson signed a lease for the land an old doctor's office occupies on the town green. HPR is able to resume renovation work on the building, which the organization intends for use as a Visitors Center.
