Farm conference set Jan. 18

The 2012 Five County Agricultural Conference will be held Jan. 18 at the Upper King and Queen Ruritan Club building in St. Stephens Church.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the conference will adjourn at 2:45 p.m.
The conference will feature presentations by Extension Service specialists on zone-based nitrogen management in corn research, grain marketing and profitability outlook, insects, soybean production update, and other topics.
The afternoon sessions will include a series of presentations for those who are interested in obtaining pesticide applicator recertification; those who do not plan to attend the afternoon sessions are welcome to adjourn following the catered lunch at 12:30 p.m.
