A year long undercover investigation has lead to the arrest of 13 people on charges of possession and illegal distribution of narcotics, heroin, cocaine and marijuana last Friday.
The Caroline County Sheriff ’s Office conducted a massive drug operation, executing a search warrant in the Ruther Glen and arresting 13 people on charges related to illegal drug distribution. This operation, “Operation Trident,” was conducted by the Caroline County Sheriff ’s Office Narcotics Investigations Division. They were also assisted by Virginia State Police, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
“This operation was the result of more than a year-long undercover investigation conducted by our narcotics investigators and involved the alleged illegal distribution of heroin, prescription pills, cocaine and marijuana in Caroline County. The suspects charged in this investigation reside in Caroline County, Richmond City, Henrico County, the Town of Ashland, King George County, Spotsylvania County and the City of Fredericksburg.” Said Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa.
Sheriff Lippa said 13 suspects have been arrested today and more arrests are expected. No further information will be released at this time.
Arrested were:
• Odell Mines, 32, of Ashland was arrested and charged with 3 counts of distributing cocaine.
• Anton Edwards, 24, of Bowling Green was arrested and charged with 1 count of distribution of cocaine.
• Samuel Burton, 34, of Richmond was arrested and charged with three counts of distributing cocaine and three counts of distributing heroin.
• Robert Lamont Simms, 42, was arrested and charged with two counts of distributing cocaine and one count of distributing less than five pounds of marijuana.
• Delvin Mine, 39, of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with one count of distribution of cocaine and one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
• Terry Smithers, 23, of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with two counts of distributing cocaine.
• Marvin Green, 51, of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with one count of distributing cocaine.
• Floyd “Jackie” Hayes, 62, of Milford was arrested and charged with four counts of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills.
• Ernest White Jr. , 23, of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with one count of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills.
• Dwight Drinkard, 40, of Woodford was arrested and charged with two counts of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills.
• Alaster Donnolly Jr., 36, of Woodford was arrested and charged with one count of distributing schedule I or II prescription pills.
• Steven Midget, 47, of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with one count of possessing heroin.
• Reginald Ferguson, 31, of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with possessing heroin.
