The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Kevin Daniel Kelley, 29, of Ruther Glen, on 34 counts of breaking and entering, grand larceny, larceny with intent to sell, and possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon.

The charges stem from a rash of burglaries that began on June 27, 2014.

Investigators say that Kelley primarily stole jewelry and firearms from unsecured homes in the Lake Caroline area and left minimal disturbance to the interior of the home and little or no noticeable damage to the exterior.

Residents of this area should do an inventory of their belongings as they could be a victim and not yet realize it.

Following an executed search warrant on Kelley’s residence, CCSO investigators were able to recover over 200 pieces of stolen jewelry from the residence and an Ashland pawn shop. Many victims have identified their belongings and have had them returned to their possession.

For more information or if you think that you may be a victim of Kelley’s, please call the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office and ask to speak to Investigator Dean Cable or Scott Gershowitz (804) 633-1082.
