The Port Royal Museum of American History is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bowling Green Community Farmers Market will be held every Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Union Bank and Trust on Main Street, Bowling Green.

The Route 639 Farmers Market is located in the front parking lot at CT Smith, 7278 Ladysmith Road (formerly CDLC) on Thursdays, from 4-8 p.m.

The Sidney E. King Arts Center next to the historic Caroline County Courthouse is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday.

July 24

An ice cream social will be held at the Dawn branch of the Caroline Library at 10 a.m., Friday, July 24.

A Cops 4 Kids golf tournament will be held July 24 at Pendleton Golf Club in Ladysmith. The entry fee is $75 per player, which includes golf, lunch and prizes. The event will help fund a Cops 4 Kids Christmas shopping event in December. For more information on this tournament, contact Danny Carter at (804) 448-8500 or Maj. Scott Moser at (804) 633-1126.

The Music on the Green summer concert series will feature the Fifth Street Jazz, with a traditional big band sound,  on the Courthouse Lawn in Bowling Green at  6:30 p.m., Friday, July 24, sponsored by the Bowling Green Arts Commission.

A pancake breakfast fundraiser for a Cops 4 Kids Christmas shopping event in December will take place from 6-10 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, at Bowling Green Baptist Church, 225 N. Main St. Take-outs are available.

An ice cream social will be held at the Ladysmith branch of the Caroline Library at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 28.

July 30

An ice cream social will be held at the Bowling Green branch of the Caroline Library at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 30.

July 31

The Music on the Green summer concert series will feature the Wild at Heart Band (blues, classical rock), at 6:30 p.m., July 31 on the Courthouse Lawn in Bowling Green, sponsored by the Bowling Green Arts Commission.

August 1

The third annual Poker Run to support the Virginia Special Olympics will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, in Bowling Green. Sponsored by Sheriff Tony Lippa and the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle ride will begin at 10 a.m. on Courthouse Lane. Ashland Moose Lodge invites you to their Volunteer Appreciation Day luau, 1-6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1,  at 11299 S. Washington Hwy. Ashland, Va. Food and drinks will me provided with  face painting, games, crafts and more.

Cindy’s Corner, Crafts & Collectables at 101 N. Main Street, Bowling Green will celebrate their two-year anniversary from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Saturday, Aug. 1. An assortment of refreshments will be served, cold hors d’oeuvres and a variety of desserts.

August 7

The Music on the Green summer concert series will feature Nelson Braswell of Velvet Lies (country, rock, acoustical), Aug. 7, at 6:30 p.m., on the Courthouse Lawn in Bowling Green, sponsored by the Bowling Green Arts Commission.

August 11

The Caroline Family Practice will celebrate National Community Health Center Week with a back-to-school open house from 3-6 p.m., Monday, August 11. There will be free health and dental screenings, giveaways, a moon bounce and face painting. It takes place at 102 W. Broaddus Ave., Bowling Green.
