“Big Nasty Rob” and Fans

Caroline native “Big Nasty Rob” (Robbie Lillard) won his Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) professional debut at the Richmond Convention Center Nov. 7. The fight lasted only 39 seconds. “We had a short exchange of punches and I got taken down,” he said, “but during the fall I was able to set up a submission called the triangle. As soon as we landed on the mat, I was able to start working it and got it secured.”
