From staff reports

Lester Dillow, District Manager of CVS/pharmacy welcomed community leaders to the Aug. 24 ribbon cutting at the first CVS/pharmacy in Caroline County. It joins the ranks of Advance Auto, the Verizon Wireless Store and other national retailers now present in the Ladysmith area.

“As a lifelong resident of Ladysmith,” said Madison District Supervisor Wayne Acors, “I am particularly proud of our business growth that is bringing jobs, revenue and convenience to our citizens.”

CVS/pharmacy is the second largest pharmacy chain in the United States, with over 7,600 stores.

“Our purpose at CVS/pharmacy is to help people on their path to better health, which is why, in 2014 we became the first national pharmacy to end the sale of tobacco products in all of our stores,” said Lester Dillow, district manager.

“Caroline not only recruits businesses, we work to maintain them as well,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Calvin Taylor,  who represents the Port Royal District.
