*Bowling Green United Methodist Church is having Wednesday Bible study from noon – 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend and bring a bag lunch to eat.

*Zion Grove Baptist Church, 9450 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, holds its weekly Wednesday Prayer Service and Bible Study sessions from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Bible Study is conducted by Dr. Kenneth Grasty, pastor.

*St. Stephen’s Baptist Church, 29436 Sparta Rd, Milford, is changing their service time from 11:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Sunday School will now be at 10 a.m.

*Concord Baptist Church is seeking music leadership and/or accompanist. For more info or to submit resumes, contact concordbaptist@gmail.com or (804) 366-7477 after 5 p.m.

February 6

*The Heaven Bound Mass Choir will have rehearsal at the Third Mount Zion Baptist Church, Woodford at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend this very important rehearsal. This will be the final opportunity for any new members to join the choir until the summer of 2015. For more information please email HeavenBoundMassChoir@gmail.com.

February 6-7

*Church of the Redeemer, Roman Catholic church, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd, Mechanicsville, will host David Haas and Lori True in concert Friday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Saturday, Feb. 7 will be an all-day retreat, “Preparing for Lent: A Day of Music, Reflection, and Prayer” from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 with lunch included. Registration opens at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased for both events for $35. For more information, call (804) 746-4911.

February 8

*Ebenezer Baptist Church is celebrating the Christian Education Ministry’s Annual Day at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Rev. Antonio Baker and the Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church family.

*Reedy Baptist Church will host the Rev. Gregory Williams from Chesapeake as guest minister during the 11:30 a.m. worship service. All are invited to attend.

*St. John Baptist Church is celebrating Black History Month during February. The Rev. Dr. James Leary of Richmond will be the guest preacher at 10 a.m.  As of last month, the church now only has 10 a.m. worship.

February 14

*Calvary Baptist Church is hosting a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at 6 p.m. Couples, singles, and families are invited. Tickets are $15 and must be bought in advance at Classic Cottage Arts and Antiques. Dinner includes lasagna, salad, rolls, and homemade desserts. Proceeds benefit the Community Well House renovations.

February 20

February 22

*Ebenezer Baptist Church’s Music Ministry is hosting the Second Annual Black History Service at 3 p.m. The theme is “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand.” The Heaven Bound Mass Choir will render a concert, and a soul food dinner will follow the service.
