St. James Baptist Church Men’s Club Ministry is sponsoring All you can eat Crabs on October 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. The cost is $35 per person. (All tickets sales are final). Points of contact 540-840-1880 or 540-903-7321 for tickets. No ticket sales at the door.

Reedy Church Ruritan Club will hold a pork bar-b-que, Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 3 – 6 p.m. Tickets are $8, children under 12 are $5. Music during the bar-b-que. Edmund Pendleton Community Center, Sunshine Road (old E.P. School).

 

St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church is sponsoring a German dinner with bratwurst, green beans, cabbage, red cabbage, spaetzle, fried apples and rye bread. Dinner is Saturday, October 14 at the church on Ladysmith Road from 4-7 p.m. Tickets in advance at $10, at door at $12 and children under 10 is $6. On October 14, Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Ashcake Road begins a new chapter in its nearly sixty-year history becoming a second campus of Trinity Lutheran Church in Western Henrico. In September, both congregations overwhelmingly voted to merge their ministries and operations into one congregation with two locations. The Ashland campus launch celebration on October 14 includes a pig roast and picnic beginning at 3 p.m. and an outdoor worship service at 5 p.m. In the coming months, the new campus of Trinity Lutheran Church will be introducing and reintroducing themselves to their neighbors and the Ashland community through community events and worship. Trinity’s Ashland campus will worship at 5 p.m. on Saturdays; the Parham Road campus has three Sunday morning worship opportunities with livestreaming available at 11 a.m. on Sundays. Trinity extends an invitation to all to visit and worship at either campus. Trinity Lutheran Church—Ashland Campus is located at 11515 Ashcake Road. Trinity Episcopal Church, 825 College Avenue, will hold a huge, indoor-outdoor yard and bake sale Saturday, October 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.  The event will benefit Trinity’s community outreach program, which provides food and other assistance to individuals and families in financial need in the Fredericksburg region. The indoor sale will feature many rooms of collectibles, antiques, jewelry, linens, books, toys, dishes and glassware, household items, small appliances and electronics, clothes and accessories for all ages, and fresh seasonal baked goods. The outdoor sale will feature furniture, tools, games, bikes, sports equipment, and much more. Join Oxford Mt. Zion Baptist Church for our Annual Women’s Conference on Saturday, October 21 from 9 to 1 p.m. and on Sunday, October 22, 11 a.m.  The guest speaker on Sunday Worship Service is Dr. Wander Frazier-Parker, Co-Pastor of Truth Tabernacle Ministries, Rocky Mount, NC.  Lunch will be served on Sunday.

 

Cancer Care Ministry of Caroline and Vicinity will sponsor a program on October 22 at 3 p.m. at Mt. Salem Baptist Church. Speaker will be Rev. Dr. J. Elisha Burke, Director of Health, Wellness, Man and Social Justice of BGC of VA. All are welcome to attend

 

The Senior Choir of First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Road, Woodford, will celebrate its Annual Day on Sunday, October 22, at 3 p.m. Special guests will be choirs from Round Oak Baptist Church, Corbin, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, Restoring Life Youth, Fredericksburg, and the FBC Young Women of Worship, Woodford. Dinner will be served following the service.

Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, Men’s and Women’s Day Sunday, October 22 at 3 p.m. Special guest will be Rev. Irving Woolfolk and Minister Carolyn Marshall and the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Supply, VA. Lunch will be served following our 11 a.m. morning worship service.

First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Road, Woodford, has canceled the “Trunk or Treat” scheduled for Saturday, October 28.

Mount Oni Baptist Church, 14135 Dry Bridge Road Ruther Glen VA 22546. Come join us Saturday, October 28 at 12 p.m. for Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence Awareness Lunch/Tea.  There will be a Doctor to speak on Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence Survivor, and information and material on Domestic Violence.  Sunday, October 29 at 11a.m. will be worship service.

Please come out and join us for our Unity Day Service with our theme being “A Rainbow of Colors”. Guest Minister will be the Rev Jane Ferguson from Second Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, Va. The Male Chorus of New Mt Zion Baptist Church, Caret Va will provide the music. Dinner will be served after the service. St Stephen’s Baptist Church, Central Point, Va.
