First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Road, Woodford, will celebrate the 14th Anniversary of the Women’s Ministry on Saturday, October 7, at 2 p.m. The service will be held at the Upper Caroline Fire Department, 12581 Stonewall Jackson Road, Woodford. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Michelle Phillips from Beulah Baptist Church, Thornburg. There will also be praise dancing featuring Sade’ Anderson and the Oxford Mt. Zion Baptist Church Praise Team, Ruther Glen. Dinner will be served following the service.

St. James Baptist Church Men’s Club Ministry is sponsoring All you can eat Crabs on October 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. The cost is $35 per person. (All tickets sales are final). Points of contact 540-840-1880 or 540-903-7321 for tickets. No ticket sales at the door.

Reedy Church Ruritan Club will hold a pork bar-b-que, Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 3 – 6 p.m. Tickets are $8, children under 12 are $5. Music during the bar-b-que. Edmund Pendleton Community Center, Sunshine Road (old E.P. School).

 

St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church is sponsoring a German dinner with bratwurst, green beans, cabbage, red cabbage, spaetzle, fried apples and rye bread. Dinner is Saturday, October 14 at the church on Ladysmith Road from 4-7 p.m. Tickets in advance at $10, at door at $12 and children under 10 is $6. Trinity Episcopal Church, 825 College Avenue, will hold a huge, indoor-outdoor yard and bake sale Saturday, October 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.  The event will benefit Trinity’s community outreach program, which provides food and other assistance to individuals and families in financial need in the Fredericksburg region. The indoor sale will feature many rooms of collectibles, antiques, jewelry, linens, books, toys, dishes and glassware, household items, small appliances and electronics, clothes and accessories for all ages, and fresh seasonal baked goods. The outdoor sale will feature furniture, tools, games, bikes, sports equipment, and much more. The Senior Choir of First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Road, Woodford, will celebrate its Annual Day on Sunday, October 22, at 3 p.m. Special guests will be choirs from Round Oak Baptist Church, Corbin, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, Restoring Life Youth, Fredericksburg, and the FBC Young Women of Worship, Woodford. Dinner will be served following the service.
