Blessing of the Animals will be held at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church,10306 Ladysmith Road, on Saturday, September 30, at 10 a.m. All animals are welcome from goldfish to sheep and horses.  In case of inclement weather, the Blessings will take place inside the Activities Building. The occasion honors St. Francis of Assisi who is well known for his love for all God’s creatures.

Ebenezer Baptist Church (Supply) Jr. Missionary will sponsor their 8th Annual Walk-A-Thon to support Dy’Mon Blaze, Debutante, on Saturday, September 30 at 8:30 a.m. in Port Royal next to the Fire House. Adults $10 and $5 for youth 17 and under. Join us for the walk, yard sale and bake sale.

October 1, Mt. Salem Baptist Church., 16170 Moore’s Mill Road, Ruther Glen, VA. cordially invites you to our 23rd Pastoral Anniversary service at 3 p.m. Our guest preacher will be Pastor L. Nolan Fox and the Enon Baptist Church, Washington DC. Pastor Fox will be bringing his ushers, choir, and congregation.  Dinner will be served following the worship service.

Pastor Brown and First Lady Brown ‘s 3rd Anniversary will be held on Sunday, October 1 at 3 p.m. Special guest will be Rev. Kenneth Davis and the St. Luke Baptist Church family. Lunch will be served following the 11 a.m. morning worship service.

Mount Tabor Baptist Church invites you to our “Youth Revival” on Monday, October 2 and  Tuesday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m.  Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Our guest speaker for Monday night will be Brother Christopher Alexander and on Tuesday night will be Rev. St. James Baptist Church, Milford is calling all singers. Join us for our 150th Church Anniversary Musical Celebration on October 7 at 4 p.m. Featuring the Church Singing Sisters and Brothers. Guest M.C. is Rev. Angie Lewis. If you would like to sing, the Women’s rehearsal will be September 23 and 30 at 11 a.m. with Kevin Jackson. First Baptist Church, 9262 Guinea Station Road, Woodford, will celebrate the 14th Anniversary of the Women’s Ministry on Saturday, October 7, at 2 p.m. The service will be held at the Upper Caroline Fire Department, 12581 Stonewall Jackson Road, Woodford. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Michelle Phillips from Beulah Baptist Church, Thornburg. There will also be praise dancing featuring Sade’ Anderson and the Oxford Mt. Zion Baptist Church Praise Team, Ruther Glen. Dinner will be served following the service.

St. James Baptist Church Men’s Club Ministry is sponsoring All you can eat Crabs on October 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. The cost is $35 per person. (All tickets sales are final). Points of contact 540-840-1880 or 540-903-7321 for tickets. No ticket sales at the door.

Reedy Church Ruritan Club will hold a pork bar-b-que, Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 3 – 6 p.m. Tickets are $8, children under 12 are $5. Music during the bar-b-que. Edmund Pendleton Community Center, Sunshine Road (old E.P. School).

 

St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church is sponsoring a German dinner with bratwurst, green beans, cabbage, red cabbage, spaetzle, fried apples and rye bread. Dinner is Saturday, October 14 at the church on Ladysmith Road from 4-7 pm.  Tickets in advance at $10, at door at $12 and children under 10 is $6.
