*The food pantry at Bowling Green United Methodist Church is open on the third Thursday of every month. Doors open at 5 p.m. for registration. Food will be distributed from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
*Bowling Green Community Farmers Market, located on the front lawn of Union Bank, 211 N Main St., is open every Saturday until Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
*Glory Outreach, a clothing and food ministry, relocated to 144 E. Broaddus Ave. on July 1. The hours remain the same: Tuesdays from 6 – 8 p.m. and Fridays from 10 – noon.
*The Sidney E. King Art Center, located next to the Courthouse on Main St., Bowling Green, is open Wednesday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Featuring 15 of King’s famous Civil War paintings that were once on display at local National Park battlefield sites showing scenes from the battles of Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and the Wilderness. The Caroline Historical Society has a room at the Center, and there is a gallery of artwork for sale by Virginia artists.
*Turkey Shoot, located at Ladysmith Rescue Squad, will be every Friday night until Dec. 19 from 7-9 p.m.

*Annual Rabies Clinic from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Caroline Animal Hospital, 17435 Richmond Turnpike, Milford. All puppies over four months of age and all dogs/cats must be vaccinated. All dogs/cats must remain in the car; the veterinarian will vaccinate inside the vehicle. 2015 Caroline County Tags will be available for sale. This year there will only be one rabies clinic.
