Dealing with a medical emergency is never easy during an outdoor adventure. Learn how to save life and limb during the critical time before ambulance or hospital arrival by joining Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR) for a Wilderness First Aid course provided by MEDIC SOLO July 25-26. Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day at FOR headquarters.
Attendees will learn how to properly care for injuries such as hypothermia, sprains, various heart conditions, snakebites, and even impalements. The minimum age is 12 years old and no experience is needed to take this course. The cost is $185 per individual.
