Frog Level Amateur Radio Enthusiasts

This will be the first meeting of Frog Level Amateur Radio Enthusiasts or FLARE. Our mission is: 

FLARE will promote amateur radio in Caroline County Virginia and nearby counties of Essex, King William, King & Queen and Northern Hanover that by their rural nature have limited access to the resources found in metropolitan areas. Licensed amateur radio operators and those aspiring to become licensed will receive initial and ongoing education, peer support, public advocacy and development of shared infrastructure radio systems. FLARE and its members will pursue the Federal Communications Commission’s mandate for amateur radio: “…providing the nation with a pool of trained radio operators and technicians who can provide essential communications during emergencies”.

We will meet subsequently on the second Tuesday of the month at the same location.
