Filming for the movie “Loving” began Monday at 8 a.m. Although locals had been warned that part of Main Street would be closed, there were no significant backups. Bowling Green Police Department officers and Caroline County Sheriff’s Office deputies stayed on duty throughout the day, allowing traffic to pass during breaks in filming.
Walking alongside the vintage cars lining the curbs, Mayor David Storke said they gave downtown an interesting mid-century appeal.
“Maybe this is something people would like to come here and see,” he said. “Plenty of other towns go for a much older look.”
