The Caroline High School gymnasium filled up with anxious youth and their families on Monday, March 6 to hear the message of international speaker and author, Bob Lenz, of Life Promotions.
Along with Lenz was Ardan James, The Animated Illusionist ®.
Lenz brought forth a message of love, and provided an explanation and solution to issues of the heart.
“I thought it was interesting and fun,” Caroline eighth grader Ashley Newhouse said. “It was very funny and I learned a lot from it.”
The evening started out with fun in the form of games. Shannon Kiser, youth pastor of Salem Baptist Church, provided games to get everyone involved, including titles such as “Party Animals,” “Poser 2.0” and “Basket Case.”
After the games, James wowed the audience with several illusions that left the crowd baffled. After his act, James introduced the speaker of the night.
Lenz used comedy, but provided serious thought on a serious emotion––love.
Through real-life occurrences, Lenz expressed the difficulties of wanting to be loved and where true love is found.
“All of us want to be loved. Really, it’s a need,” Lenz said to the crowd at the event.
