All children aged 18 and under who come to one of three branches of the Caroline County Library June 18-Aug. 13 may eat a free, fresh lunch, courtesy of the partnership between the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank and the USDA Summer Food Service Program.
In addition to the meals, children will be engaged in various activities such as arts and crafts, reading and physical activities due to the partnership of the No Kids Hungry Program sponsored by the Library of Virginia.
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows:
Bowling Green Branch, 1-4 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Dawn Branch, 1-4 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,
Port Royal Branch, Tuesdays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 1-2 p.m.
There will be no meal programs on July 2.
The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank serves Planning District 16, which includes Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline counties, the City of Fredericksburg, and Locust Grove.
