The new Bowling Green Elementary School pavilion was nearing completion last week, with Roger Taylor, owner of Ruther Glen company Roger L. Taylor Jr. Construction, and Ricky Brown Jr. hard at work on the structure. A project of the BGES Parent Teacher Association, the pavilion, which adjoins the playground, is the product of more than two years of work. Fully funded by the PTA and approved by the School Board in February, the project cost $17,000 and will offer teachers and students an open-air venue for classes and activities. A ribbon-cutting ceremony has been planned for Aug. 13.
