Find the Library Peep
Every branch invites patrons to come in and “Find the Library Peep” at preschool story time.
There will be a cute little light-up rubber “peep” hidden somewhere around the library, and it’s your job to help out the Easter Bunny and find it! There will be an Easter Basket for the winner.
The search is on at Port Royal Thursday, April 10 at 4:30 p.m.; Dawn on Thursday, April 17 and 5 p.m.; Ladysmith on Tuesday, April 15 at 10 a.m.; and Bowling Green on Thursday, April 14 at 10 a.m.
Get Crafty: Decoupage Vases
This month, get ready to decorate your home for less at the Caroline Library. Create a centerpiece for the home that delights. Bring your own glass vase or small container to make an accent jar for your dresser or office desk.
Space is limited, so RSVP to your favorite branch to be sure and get a seat. Some supplies are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own glass item if possible. Learn the art of decoupage using tissue paper and Modge Podge or simple white glue at Dawn on Tuesday, April 8 at 2 p.m.; Port Royal on Thursday, April 10 at 2 p.m.; Bowling Green on Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m., and Ladysmith on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m.
National Library Week
Libraries and librarians have a powerful and positive impact on the lives of Americans on a daily basis. Their stories are key to communicating the value of libraries.
National Library Week is April 13 to 19 and is the perfect opportunity to encourage the community to tell the story of how the library has changed lives.
Tweet about the library using the hashtag #liveschange and #nlw14, and be sure to follow the library’s new Twitter account @CarolineLib.
