Berkley Gayle, 95 of Ruther Glen died Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born in Caroline, he had served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII and had retired from the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative after 39 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Earle L. Gayle; his son, Ronald E. Gayle; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, among them Barbara Covington, who had been so faithful and dedicated to her uncle during this difficult time. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 16 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruther Glen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Caroline County EMS.
