On Dec. 7 at 4:50 p.m. units from the Caroline County Fire-Rescue Dept. responded to a house fire in the 16000 block of Moter Avenue in Milford. All occupants evacuated safely and there were no injuries, except for a family pet that died as a result of the fire. The homeowner is receiving help from Red Cross.
Fire units from Bowling Green, Sparta, Ladysmith and Frog Level, as well as A.P. Hill responded.
The fire is under investigation by Caroline Fire-Rescue and the Sheriff’s Department.
