The table has been set and a small television sets on top of the refrigerator. Playing on the television is the evening news. This nightly event intrigued the young mind of the little boy and began the interest in the world of politics.

While at Hampden-Sydney College, he created the college’s Young Democratic Chapter. In 2002, he aided in Ben Jones’ (famously known as “Cooter” from The Dukes of Hazard) campaign against Eric Cantor.
In 2010, six years after moving to Bowling Green, Rowe campaigned to be a member on the Bowling Green Town Council. Even though Rowe lost the race for town council, it provided him with a great opportunity––to meet the residents of Bowling Green, Rowe said.
