At approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, Caroline County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a shooting occurred at a residence in the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy., located in the northern part of the county. Several CCSO deputies and investigators, along with fire and rescue units, responded within minutes. The Virginia State Police also responded.
According to Caroline investigators, the shooting appears to be a domestic incident. Two adults, 42-year-old Andre Gray and 42-year-old Tina Gray, were found deceased in the home. Two surviving family members, one 18-year-old female and a seven-year-old male, were transported to Mary Washington Hospital, where they were listed in stable, but critical condition.
“This investigation is ongoing,” said Sheriff Tony Lippa. “No further information will be released at this time. Please keep the Gray family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
