Suspect sought for Bowling Green vandalism and theft

The Virginia State Police are investigating several thefts and vandalism to vehicles which occurred within a mile of each another in the Bowling Green area of Caroline County.

In the early morning hours of Sunday (July 26), Virginia State Police were called to investigate between eight to 10 break-ins and/or vandalism to vehicles. Several of the incidents took place in the 200 block of Main Street and the 200 block of Milford Street. Numerous cars had items taken from them and a couple of the vehicles were damaged by fire that was intentionally set. The fire department did respond to one of the vehicles.

A theft also occurred at a business in the 100 block of Broaddus Avenue. All of the vandalisms and thefts occurred between the hours of 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’9 and 5’11, wearing a brown hooded shirt, khaki shorts, and black shoes with white on the shoe base.
