Caroline County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators arrested a 14-year-old Caroline High School student Tuesday for allegedly distributing schedule II prescription pills to other juveniles while riding in a Caroline County school bus.
Caroline County Sheriff, Tony Lippa stated “With assistance from the administration of the Caroline County High School and the Caroline County Transportation Department, Caroline narcotics investigators investigated this matter, recovered prescription pills that are believed to be a schedule II controlled substance and arrested a juvenile believed to be responsible for selling these pills to other high school students while riding in a Caroline County school bus.”
The Caroline Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Caroline County school system, combats drug activity in our schools by routinely conducting surprise narcotic detecting K-9 sweeps, providing programs on drug use and abuse for students and by assigning school resource officers to our schools.
Sheriff Lippa commented, “Your Caroline County Sheriff’s Office will continue to be vigilant in our fight to keep our youth safe from drugs. I would like to thank the administration of the Caroline County High School and the Caroline County Transportation Department for their assistance in this investigation.”
