Allegiant adds 30 new routes and 4 cities in massive 2026 expansion

Allegiant Air has unveiled a sweeping schedule for 2026, announcing 30 new nonstop routes that expand its leisure network and add several fresh city pairs. The Las Vegas-based ultra-low-cost carrier will both reopen some former services and introduce brand-new markets as it leans into vacation demand and smaller airports.

Allegiant’s big push: What the 2026 network adds

The carrier’s announcement includes three brand-new city markets and a return to an East Coast gateway it paused during the pandemic. This is Allegiant’s largest growth move since last year’s rollout, when it added dozens of routes.

Allegiant continues to focus on leisure travel and connecting secondary airports to tourist hubs. The airline says the additions respond to strong local demand and aim to give travelers more low-cost options.

Airports that gain the most routes

Some airports stood out in the update for receiving multiple new connections.

  • Gulf Shores International (GUF) gets five new routes, building on service that began in 2025.
  • John Wayne (SNA) in Orange County is also awarded five routes, strengthening west-coast linkages.
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL) picks up four nonstop flights from across the country.
  • Mesa Gateway (AZA) in the Phoenix area will connect with three additional cities.

Which services are brand new, returning, or notable

Allegiant is adding three previously unserved cities: La Crosse (WI), Columbia (MO), and Philadelphia (PA) now gets new city pairs. Trenton-Mercer reappears on the route map after a pandemic hiatus.

Several routes are relaunches of seasonal services from earlier years. The mix of restarts and fresh markets reflects Allegiant’s strategy of testing and scaling leisure demand.

Fleet plans, loyalty moves, and what travelers should expect

Allegiant is growing while taking delivery of new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. That fleet expansion enables more nonstop leisure flights from smaller airports.

The airline has told media it sees a long runway for similar opportunities and has identified many additional city pairs that match its model.

On the customer side, Allegiant is working on a loyalty program refresh and is evaluating adding onboard Wi‑Fi to its planes.

How this affects travelers hunting deals

  • More nonstop options mean shorter travel times for leisure travelers on budget fares.
  • Smaller secondary airports often offer lower parking and easier access.
  • Returning routes may bring seasonal price competition and more flight choices.
