Beard died on Aug. 17 after a hospice stay, the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office in Rosenberg, Texas, confirmed to reporters. He was 77.
The medical examiner said the precise cause of death has not been made public. An autopsy will not be performed, the office added.
