This month’s Bilt Rent Day brings a fresh round of bonuses and limited-time experiences designed to reward renters and points collectors. From boosted transfers to Avios partners to amplified gift-card redemptions and live events, Bilt is leaning into status perks and local activations to draw members into the app and the neighborhood. Here’s a clear breakdown of what to expect for December’s Rent Day and how to make the most of each offer.
Key Rent Day perks members should watch
- When: Main offers run from Dec. 1 at midnight ET through Dec. 2 at 2:59 a.m. ET unless otherwise noted.
- How to earn: You must use your Bilt Mastercard five times each statement period to qualify for points.
- Limits: Nonrent purchases earn double points on Rent Day, but bonus points from purchases are capped at 1,000 per Rent Day.

Status-based transfer boost to British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus Avios
Bilt is delivering a status-linked conversion bonus when you move points to Avios partners. If you transfer Bilt Points to British Airways, Iberia or Aer Lingus between Dec. 1 at 12:00 a.m. ET and Dec. 2 at 2:59 a.m. ET, you’ll receive an additional credit based on your Bilt status.
Avios are versatile for award travel across several carriers. You can use Avios for transatlantic trips and key domestic routes via partner airlines.
- Use Avios on British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and other partner carriers.
- Consider short-haul, off-peak or transatlantic sweet spots to stretch value.
Tip: Transfers can unlock outsized value compared with simple gift-card redemptions. Check award charts and partner availability before converting.
Gift-card redemption bonuses and real value
Leading up to Rent Day, Bilt unlocks status-based redemption boosts for featured gift cards. Once unlocked, those bonuses remain active through Dec. 1.
- Blue members: 25% redemption bonus
- Silver members: 50% redemption bonus
- Gold members: 75% redemption bonus
- Platinum members: 100% redemption bonus
While dramatic on paper, gift-card redemptions tend to return less value per point than transfer partners. For example, a Macy’s card typically yields about 0.7 cents per point. Even with a 100% bonus, that converts to roughly 1.4 cents per point. By contrast, Bilt’s internal valuation places points closer to 2.2 cents a piece on average.
Double points on nonrent purchases — rates and caps
During Rent Day hours, nonrent categories earn increased points when you pay with the Bilt Mastercard. Make sure you meet the five transactions per statement requirement to collect points.
- Dining: 6 points per dollar
- Travel: 4 points per dollar
- Other purchases (nonrent): 2 points per dollar
- Rent: 1 point per dollar (capped at 100,000 points per calendar year)
Note that each Rent Day limits bonus earnings to 1,000 extra points on purchases, so prioritize higher-value categories when possible.
‘Rent Free’ game details and prize breakdown
Bilt’s game returns for Rent Day, offering members a chance to have a month’s rent paid or to win points. This month’s celebrity guest is comedian Zarna Garg.
