Multiple versions of why Batula won’t return to In the City Season 2
Insiders have offered different explanations about Amanda Batula’s absence from the second season.
- One source says Bravo proposed a reduced, part-time role for Batula, but the network balked at allowing her to film with West Wilson.
- A second source claims the timing simply wasn’t right for either Batula or Wilson to rejoin the series.
- A third insider alleges contract disputes over salary demands played a role.
None of these accounts has been independently confirmed by the network.
How the romance and breakup reshaped the Bravo landscape
Batula and Cooke separated in January, after more than a decade together and four years of marriage. The split set the stage for a later revelation that rocked the Summer House community.
Two months after the separation, Batula and West Wilson publicly admitted to a secret relationship. The news frayed friendships inside Bravo’s circle.
Co-star Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson, publicly severed ties with Batula. The situation was a major topic during the Season 10 reunion, where tensions ran high.
Production fallout: firings and surprise episodes
Bravo filmed extra footage to capture the aftermath of the revelations. That included a surprise bonus episode of Summer House.
West Wilson was later dismissed from Summer House Season 11. Page Six also confirmed Amanda Batula’s departure from the series.
What West Wilson and Amanda Batula are doing next
Despite the controversy, West Wilson appears to be pursuing more TV work. In September, Deadline reported he will join the celebrity lineup for Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret Season 3.
Names attached to that cast include Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, Chelley Bissainthe and Christine Quinn.
