Kanye West’s SoFi Stadium gets historic $33 million upgrade

Show summary Hide summary

Kanye West, now known as Ye, returned to Los Angeles with two headline shows that drew mass attention and impressive ticket sales at SoFi Stadium.

Box-office haul: $33 million from two nights

Industry reporting shows Ye’s SoFi run brought in a combined $33 million. The figure covers both performances at the stadium in Inglewood. Sources told Bloomberg the April 3 concert alone accounted for more than $18 million.

Those sources requested anonymity because the ticketing data had not been cleared for public release. Still, the numbers place the April 3 performance among the highest-grossing single concerts in live music history, according to the report.

What the Los Angeles shows looked like

Ye returned to perform in Los Angeles for the first time since 2021. He played two sold-out nights on April 1 and April 3 at SoFi Stadium, the home venue for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Chargers.

Setlist and stage notes

Each show ran through more than 30 songs, with Ye centering the nights on music from his newest album. The performances followed earlier dates in Mexico City, part of a gradual reappearance on large stages.

The new album driving the tour: Bully

Ye’s 12th studio record, Bully, arrived on March 28, 2026. The album features guest spots from artists including Travis Scott, André Troutman, and CeeLo Green. To date, the album has one single, “Father,” released the same day as the album.

Bully is Ye’s first solo studio effort since Donda 2 in 2022. Between those projects he collaborated with Ty Dolla Sign on two albums, Vultures 1 and Vultures 2, which were released in 2024.

Tour routing and future dates

Ye plans to take Bully on the road through much of 2026. The routing announced so far includes stops across multiple continents and a string of European and Asian dates.

  • India
  • Turkey
  • The Netherlands
  • France
  • Spain
  • Portugal

Context: his touring history and fan reaction

This is Ye’s first major tour since the Saint Pablo Tour in 2016. That tour ran 41 shows from August 25 to November 19, 2016. The swift sellouts at SoFi underline strong demand from fans eager to see him live again.
