Meadowview receives conservation grant
Meadowview Biological Research Station in Woodford has received a $56,500 grant from the Virginia Land Conservation Fund that will enable it to acquire and conserve 17 acres of land that includes a state threatened plant species.
The 17 acres is adjacent to the research station’s 1-acre site on Fredericksburg Turnpike and is contained in two parcels. One parcel, about 14 acres, is located on Villeboro Road. The second parcel comprises about three acres.
