Cavaliers run past Knights

MILFORD - The Caroline Cavaliers put on a rushing exhibition while holding Spotsylvania to only a couple of scores to capture a 42-14 Battlefield District victory this week.

In a game played Monday night because of heavy rain last week, 10 Cavalier players carried the football as the team rolled up 442 yards on the ground.

The two workhorses for Caroline were Joe Shiflett and Quavian Harris, who each scored a pair of touchdowns. Shiflett gained 118 yards on five carries – he exploded for two long TD runs - while Harris rushed 14 times...
